The logo for the "To God Be the Glory..."
web site is made from the "triquetra" an anceint Christian symbol. We've assembled these
examples on this page so that you can pick and choose if you want to use them to link to this site.
Here is the "button" version which can be used to link to
this site (http://www.church-of-christ.net/). The "Worldwide Directory for the churches of
Christ" (http://www.churches-of-christ.net/) and "OLM (OnLine Ministries)"
(http://www.olm.org/) all use versions of this symbol (see explanation below).
The original version of this sign is three pointed loops interlocking into one symbol denoting the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For hundreds of years now it has been represented in "black
white", but in these days of color we wanted to "step out" a little. The GREEN denotes God the Father, green for the presense of life. The RED denotes Jesus Christ the Son, red for blood shed as a propitiation for
the sins of man. The BLUE denotes the Holy Spirit, blue for
the etherial nature of the Spirit. They all come together with a glowing, warm, golden YELLOW center symbolizing that "God is light and in Him there is no
darkness".
Notice that each lobe links into the other as "one", completely inseparable. Notice also
that there is blue inside the green, green inside the red, and red inside the blue. This
symbolizes the Holy Spirit in God, God in Christ, and Christ in the Holy Spirit. Again,
interlocked and totally inseparable.
